Booked!!!

It's a wrap! We've booked our tickets around the world, given notice to our employers and started packing. Look out world!

We've created a google map of our route around the world and put it in this blog. We do need to recant a little of what we said above. There are some 'patches' in our route which we need to figure out. We arrive in Vienna and we plan on visiting Prague, Munich, most of Italy and depart Rome; we'll do this by train. We arrive in Delhi and somehow we need to get to Chennai a week and a half later, not really sure how we're going to do that. The same can be said about our time in Cambodia and Thailand, how do you get from Phnom Penh to Bangkok? We spend three weeks in Australia to close out the trip and that is another tbd trip.

  1. Sounds like a true once in a lifetime trip. I am so happy that you are undertaking this adventure. For Australia I recommend: the Blue Mountains (just outside of Sydney), Byron Bay (between Sydney and Brisbane), Airlie Beach (only as a jumping off point for the Whitsunday Islands) and Cape Tribulation (outside of Cairns). If time permits, when you are in Prague a detour into Krakow Poland would be really cool. If I think of more places, I'll let you know! -Alessandra

  2. Sweet yo! Well, the journey in India will be a scenic one via road and train all the way from Delhi to Chennai. You guys will have company for that journey and we may even have a chance to meet up in Europe since Rosh and I will be there too!
We'll add more to the places you listed.

  3. Awesome plan guys! Looking forward to hearing about it. Post lots of pics.
"how do you get from Phnom Penh to Bangkok?" By the time you get there you'll be veteran "travelers" (as opposed to tourists). I challenge you to get from PP to Bk via a non-traditional means... hire on as crew on a boat, purchase and drive there on an ox cart, work as tour guides on a tour bus. You'll never regret it. Be sure to check out hostels along the way, for accomodations maybe, but as a contact point with fellow travelers. Good luck! Bon Voyage!
